These sturdy machines are designed to eliminate vibration and preserve alignment over generations of use. The vertical slide is equipped with both rapid traverse and CNC feed in either direction via a precise, hardened, anti-backlash preloaded ball screw.

Improving on the best features from Fellows gear shaping machines, Bourn & Koch created the new 1000 VBS vertical shaper. Its patented shaping head technology offers:
・CNC controlled quick return
・CNC controlled back off and cutter offset
・CNC controlled tapering, crowning, contouring
・CNC control of the helix motion of the cutter spindle (electronic guide)
・Powerful, uniform linear cutting speed in the cut

HDS 1600-300 Dual Head Electronic Gear Shaper

The HDS 1600-300 dual head uses a shaping head with CNC controlled quick return, double helix motion control of the cutter spindle with an electronic guide up to 1600 mm in diameter.
